Let me just take a minute out of the relative seriousness of this Blog to talk about Louisiana as a whole. I've been here in the 'bayou' for a few weeks now and am seriously considering writing to the governor or respective senate members to push for a change of nickname. AS it stands Louisiana is "The Pelican State" and while I have seen no pelicans let me share with you some alternative names that we could try:
1. The really really hot and humid state
2. The sweaty state
3. The mosquito state
4. The full-of-things-guaranteed-to-make-you-itch state
5. The it-only-rains-when-you-don't-want-it-to state
6. The air-so-thick-you-can-take-a-bath-in-it state
